A VERY COMEDIC EVENING

This is a kaleidoscope of various scenes, themes, and skits. Like meeting a master magician who has three hands. Like a masterly score played by an orchestra consisting of the audience. Like a set of parodies of famous film scenes. Like a suspenseful bank robbery performed by the world’s smallest person. Like police actions in which a hail of bullets turns into gales of laughter.

An immensely entertaining performance with a great deal of humour and wit.

INTELLIGENCE COMBINED WITH A WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOUR. AN EXAMPLE OF THEATRE THAT IS PURE ENERGY – CANDY FOR THE EYES IN TERMS OF FORM, AND AN EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT MESSAGE.

It’s been a long time since I have encountered in theatre such well-thought-out pantomime, without the smallest visible glitch in the structure of the individual pieces. The Winegret ensemble has an unquestionable feel for spot-on punchlines, combining interesting acting solutions with universal humour that appeals to the most discerning audience. What’s more, their ideas are ingenious in their simplicity. And most importantly, wise without being too cerebral.

I was also spellbound by how the props were animated. When the piece was based on prop animation, the actors’ presence on stage was very discreet, virtually inconspicuous, while in purely acting pieces, theirs was a veritable parade of acting skills. Making no secret of my delight, I have to admit it’s been a long time since I have encountered such unpretentious, graceful acting.
